World TB Day was celebrated on 24th March this year. To mark this occasion Malteser International officially handed over the laboratory at Dandora Health Clinic to the Kenyan Government.
The clinic, within Nairobi, currently sees in excess of 210,000 patients each year and the new laboratory will make diagnosis and treatment of TB more accessible to the 380,000 people in this community.
As part of the celebrations Malteser International provided the laboratory with a new microscope.
